TTML reports 48.1 per cent year-on-year increase in net losses for the quarter ended March 2015
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited (TTML) has reported a 48.1 per cent increase in net losses, from Rs 1.11 billion for the quarter ended March 2014 to Rs 1.63 billion for the quarter ended March 2015. This increase was on account of an increase in total expenses, which grew from Rs 7.03 billion to Rs 7.45 billion, during the same period. Meanwhile, its total income from operations grew by 8.9 per cent, from Rs 6.85 billion in March 2014 to Rs 7.46 billion in March 2015.
TTML has also stated that it is undertaking investments to improve the 3G coverage. Over the past quarter, it has enhanced its 3G reach in 160 additional towns and has deployed 1,000 additional 3G base transceiver stations across Maharashtra, to strengthen its existing 3G network.
