Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) will not sell its 30 per cent stake in Bharti Hexacom Limited (BHL), the second largest cellular mobile operator in Rajasthan. TCIL had earlier invited expressions of interest for such a sale but then changed its mind following advice from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). DoT recommended that TCIL subscribe to the rights issue offered by BHL to the fullest extent and fund the subscription from its internal resources.
