Ericsson posts financial results for the quarter ended March 2013
Ericsson has reported net sales of SEK 1.61 billion from its India operations for the quarter ended March, 2013.
For the period under review, the company’s revenues from network operations, global services and support solutions stood at SEK 858 million, SEK 627 million and SEK 121 million, respectively.
For the quarter ended March 2013, Ericsson’s net income stood at SEK 1.2 billion registering a decline of 86 per cent over the corresponding period in 2012. At the end of March 31, 2013, company had 14,588 employees in India.
Hans Vestberg, chief executive officer and president, Ericsson, says, “While macroeconomic and political uncertainty continues in certain regions, the long term fundamentals in the industry remain attractive and we are well positioned to continue to support our customers in a transforming information and communications technology market.”
