Inder Bajaj and George Varghese resign from RCOM
George Varghese, president, enterprise broadband business, Reliance Communications (RCOM), and Inder Bajaj, head, Reliance Infratel (RCOM’s tower arm), have resigned. Former wireless business head S.P. Shukla will assume the reins at Reliance Infratel in addition to his current duties as president of special projects, RCOM.
The movements come at a time when Reliance Infratel is exploring a host of passive-infrastructure-sharing agreements with potential 3G and BWA service providers. One of Shukla’s biggest responsibilities in the coming months will, therefore, be closing multiple passive- infrastructure-sharing deals with mobile broadband and Wi-Max service players.
