Following the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent by Nokia Networks for $16.58 billion, Nokia has appointed Jorg Erlemeier as the Integration Planning Head of the merged entity. He will be responsible for ensuring smooth transitioning of both the companies into a single unit and support the integration of business operations of both Nokia and Alcatel-lucent.
Erlemeier will report to Rajeev Suri, president and chief executive officer, Nokia and will establish an Integration Steering Board that will provide the structure, processes and working team needed to set up the required plans for the merged company. Erlemeier has 20 years of industry experience and joined Nokia in 1994. Prior to taking on his new role, he led Nokia Networks’ Global Services business in the European market.
