S Ramadorai retires from the board of Tata Communications and TTSL
S Ramadorai has retired from the Board of Directors of various Tata companies including Tata Communications and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra). This is in accordance with the Tata Group’s retirement policy, which requires non-executive directors to retire at 70.
Ramadorai, was the vice-chairman (VC) at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), chairman of CMC (a subsidiary of TCS) and chairman of Tata Elxsi. He was made TCS’ VC in October 2009 after having serves as the company’s chief executive officer and managing director for 14 years. In 2009, Ramadorai was also made chairman of Tata Elxsi.
Presently, Ramadoai is the chairman of the National Skill Development Agency and the National Skill Development Council. He is also the non-executive chairman of the Bombay Stock Exchange.
