Finland-based device manufacturer Nokia has appointed Rajiv Suri as the company’s president chief executive officer (CEO).
Earlier, he was leading Nokia Solutions and Networks, the network equipment unit of Nokia. Suri will take over from Stephen Elop, who will move to Microsoft as the executive vice-president of the company’s devices group.
Suri joined Nokia in 1995 and over the years has served in various senior positions at the company. Besides Nokia, he has also worked with organisations such as ICL and RBG Group. With more than 23 years of industry experience, Suri has worked across markets such as the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe and has expertise in strategy, product marketing, sales and mergers and acquisitions.
