April 15, 2006
BSNL has sought a minimum time-frame of one year before considering offloading a small stake of the government's holding in the PSU. BSNL's response comes in the wake of the Ministry of Finance asking the company for its view on its listing by selling some government shares to the public. The PSU, after consulting its adviser ICICI Securities, said the IPO should be delayed by a year to ensure conformity of its accounts with the listing requirements.
