Nokia launches the E5-00

Nokia has added to its E series range with the launch of the Nokia E5-00. A Symbian-based device, it offers users a variety of productivity applications available in the Ovi Store and access to a number of e-mail servers, such as Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.

Commenting on the launch Vipul Sabharwal, DirectorSales, Nokia India said, “The Nokia E5-00 is designed for those that want to be productive in both their professional and personal lives. It addresses the unique needs of professionals by combining business as well as personal and entertainment functionalities.  With features such as business and consumer email, chat, social networking, a 5-megapixel camera and long battery life, this phone will appeal to a large section of professionals who want a converged device to address their needs.”

The Nokia E5-00 is packed with the latest version of the world’s most popular smart phone platform - the S60 3rd edition. The Nokia E5-00 also boasts of a suite of homescreen features including one-touch access to favourite contacts, and social networks. It also pushes Facebook updates direct to contacts list which allows users to view friend’s updates. The Nokia E5-00 also comes packed with Nokia Messaging, allowing users to access email on the go with support for multiple email accounts, including popular mail services such as Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail.

The Nokia E5-00 will be available nationally starting with Nokia Priority Stores at an MRP of Rs 12,699.
