Samsung launches two new touch screen handsets
Samsung Electronics has expanded its range of touch screen offerings with the launch of the Champ and OmniaLite models. The Champ is the company's first full touch mobile, which comes with a 3.5 mm ear jack and dual speakers, Sound Alive 3D effects, wireless FM and 30 MB of internal memory (expandable to 8 GB). Its other features include a QVGA touch screen, a three-page extended menu, TouchwizLite 2.0 facility, an inbuilt stylus pen, a VGA camera and image editor, advanced mobile tracker and SOS message facility, a 1,000-name-capacity phonebook and support for 500 SMSs. It is priced at Rs 4,500.
The OmniaLite supports Windows 6.5 Pro Edge, wherein users can view and edit MS Word, MS Excel and Powerpoint files, and view PDFs, etc. It also houses the Opera internet browser and supports 3G connectivity. The phone comes pre-installed with online widgets such as weather, news and stock searches; supports the DiVx and Xivd multimedia formats; houses a 3 megapixel camera with a 3D photo album; and has 250 MB of internal memory. The OmniaLite is priced at Rs 17,560.
