Lava International has launched the Lava Iris X8 smartphone at a price of Rs 8,999 in India. The dual-SIM smartphone has a 5-inch HD IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail glass protection and a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32 GB through a microSD card.

It features an 8 megapixel primary camera with LED flash and BSI 3 sensor and a secondary 3 megapixel front-facing camera. The Lava Iris X8 smartphone offers connectivity options including 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro-USB, and Bluetooth.
