Samsung has introduced the Galaxy E5 and E7 smartphones in the Indian market at prices of Rs 19,300 and Rs 23,000 respectively. The Galaxy E5 smartphone has a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system (OS) with Samsung TouchWiz user interface. The smartphone has 1.5 GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 16 GB, which is further expandable up to 64 GB through a microSD card.
It features an 8 megapixel primary camera with LED Flash and autofocus along with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. The galaxy E5 offers connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, HSDPA+ (4G), EDGE and GPRS.
The Galaxy E7 has a 5.5-inch display with pixel density of 267 ppi. It has the same chipset specifications as the Galaxy E5 smartphone. However, it supports a higher RAM storage of 2 GB and a higher battery capacity of 2950 mAh as compared to 2400 mAh in Galaxy E5 smartphone.
