Apple launches the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in India

Apple Inc. has launched the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in India. The iPad Mini 3 has a 7.9 inch retina screen with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. It is powered by Apple’s A8X chipset and runs on iOS 8.1 operating system. It features a 5 megapixel iSight primary camera and a 1.2 megapixel FaceTime lens on the front-facing camera. Further, the device includes continuity features across iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite that enable Apple products to work together.

The iPad Air 2 has the same specifications as iPad mini 3 except the screen size. The Apple iPad Air 2 has a 9.7 inch retina display of equal resolution.

Apple has added Touch ID feature in both iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 which would enable the users to unlock their iPad with touch of a finger and enhance security in transactions done through these devices.

The iPad Air 2 models with Wi-Fi are available for a price of Rs 35,900 for the 16 GB model, Rs 42,900 for the 64 GB model and Rs 49,900 for the 128 GB model. The iPad Air 2 device with both Wi-Fi and cellular features are available for a price of Rs 45,900 for the 16 GB model, Rs 52,900 for the 64 GB model and Rs 59,900 for the 128 GB model.

On the other hand, the iPad Mini 3 models with Wi-Fi are available in India for a price of Rs 28,900 for the 16 GB model, Rs 35,900 for the 64 GB model and Rs 42,900 for the 128 GB model. The other model with Wi-Fi and cellular service will be available for a price of Rs 38,900 for the 16 GB model, Rs 45,900 for the 64 GB model and Rs 52,900 for the 128 GB model.
