Reliance Infocomm and Chinese telecom vendor Huawei have reportedly entered into a memorandum of understanding for supply and financing of infrastructure for ongoing expansion work.
The order could be worth more than Rs 10 billion. The expansion of Reliance's CDMA network on a turnkey basis includes highway and railway coverage, access equipment for broadband and supply of systems for network management. A previous Reliance contract for 1 million GSM lines was clinched by Motorola.
