BSNL is reportedly in talks with several new and existing operators for sharing its telecom infrastructure. For this purpose, a separate division is also being planned within the firm. The deals are likely to be finalised by September 2009 and will help the company generate additional revenue of about Rs 1 billion.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited (TTML) has launched its GSM-based mobile services under the Tata DoCoMo brand in the Maharashtra circle (including Mumbai). The company has already incurred a capital expenditure of Rs 10 billion for rolling out its GSM network in the circle. TTML is planning to provide GSM-based services in the Goa and Maharashtra circles by end-August 2009.
