Etisalat DB (formerly known as Swan Telecom) has signed a 10 year Rs 100 billion tower-sharing agreement with Reliance Communications (RCOM).

Etisalat DB (formerly known as Swan Telecom) has signed a 10year Rs 100 billion tower-sharing agreement with Reliance Communications (RCOM). According to the terms of the agreement, Etisalat DB will outsource its telecom infrastructure requirements for 15 telecom circles to RCOM. The latter company will provide 30,000 telecom sites (including transmission infrastructure and towers) for Etisalat DB. The move will enable Etisalat to optimise its costs on power, fuel and site rentals by 25-30 per cent.
