TRAI has released a consultation paper on allocation and pricing for spectrum in the 2.3-2.4 GHz, 2.5-2.69 GHz and 3.3-3.6 GHz bands.
It has invited comments from stakeholders on issues such as eligibility for allocation of spectrum, maximum amount of spectrum that can be allocated to each bidder and pricing of the spectrum in these bands. The move comes after the International Telecommunications Union-Radiocommunications identified the 2.3-2.4 GHz band as the international mobile technology band.
According to its guidelines on broadband wireless access, DoT is also considering allotment of spectrum in these bands.
