TRAI directs operators to ensure that terminals used for fixed wireless services are strictly confined to the premises of the subscriber

News , April 15, 2005

TRAI has directed operators to ensure that terminals used for fixed wireless services are strictly confined to the premises of the subscriber, as this has implications on the ADC collected from operators. TRAI has directed that fixed wireless services be provided through fixed wireless terminals in which the location of the network access point is fixed with the need user terminal connected to it. This directive comes in the wake of incidents where terminals deployed by access providers did not have any fixed network access point physically located at the address of the subscriber.
