Information technology services and solutions provider L&T Infotech has appointed Chandrashekar Kakal as its chief operating officer (COO). Mumbai-based L&T Infotech is a wholly-owned subsidiary of $14 billion technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial conglomerate Larsen & Toubro.

Prior to joining L&T Infotech, Kakal served as senior vice-president at Infosys BPO. He has more than 30 years of industry experience and besides working with Infosys BPO, Kakal has been associated with organisations such as Ramco Systems and Wipro.

Kakal holds a master’s in business administration, with specialisation in international business, from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, and a degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University, India. He also holds a graduate diploma in materials management from Indian Institute of Materials Management.
