Brocade has appointed Benjamin Hickey as director, software-defined networking (SDN), Asia Pacific region. He will be responsible for aligning and executing the company’s business strategy across the region, particularly in the areas of network functions virtualisation and SDN.

Hickey will be based out of Sydney, Australia, and report directly to Brocade chief technology officer for Asia Pacific, Matt Kolon.

With over 15 years of experience in technology and management consultancy, Hickey has been associated with companies such as Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co), Equant, Cisco Systems, and Accenture.
